For a very long time figures of Christ and images about His life have been restricted to the sacred environment, Catholic Church and its festivals. Contemporarily, the images of the “crucified Christ” have become very well-known and have found in folk art a strong channel for expression. Adalton Fernandes Lopes from Niterói is author of a monumental work in which he tells the life of Christ through a sequence of scenes inspired by the Bible.
